Island Radio.Net

Island Radio.Net is an internet radio station with a dedicated listening audience. The station plays pop and rock songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and the increasingly popular Trop Rock genre. Additionally, the station plays "One Hit Wonders".

The target demographic for Island Radio.Net is 35 - 60, middle to upper middle class listeners. The station continually updates its playlist to provide listeners with a more encompassing listening experience. Additionally, listeners are encouraged to submit song requests, send out song dedications, and vote in polls about what music they would like to hear more.

Because Island Radio.Net is an ever expanding multi media project, the challenge was to create a website which could be updated easily without disturbing the distribution of music or cause a disruption to a visitor's listening experience. This challenged was answered in the form of a content management system website.

The website is easily navagable and has a natural flow. Visitors may launch the radio player and listen to music while browsing all pages of the website. The player manifests via an independent "pop up" window and behaves as a separate entity than the rest of the website. This is a vast improvement over internet radio stations where the music is restarted each time the visitor moves to a new page.

Another prominent feature found on Island Radio.Net is the Flash Slideshow found at the top of every page. The slideshow adds value to the listener's visit by presenting images of white sand beaches with crystal clear water as well as beautiful, bikini clad models.  The slideshow is easily modified to add or remove images as needed.

One final feature worth mentioning is the banner rotator directly beneath the slideshow. Sponsors and advertisers may purchase a banner ad which is shown on each and every page of the station's website hundreds of times daily. When a visitor clicks on a banner ad, he or she is taken to the advertiser's website or a feature page on the station's website.

Joel Lance - Christian Country Recording Artist

Joel Lance is a Christian Country songwriter and recording artist from south Louisiana. His discography includes original compositions as well as songs written by other songwriters. His travels take him all over the continental United States.

As a recording artist, Joel needed a website which was both attractive as well as functional. This was accomplished with a fairly simple page layout for easy navagation. Value was added in the form of image animations and rollover hyperlinks. The site is easily navagable and maintains uniformity throughout.

One useful feature of this website is the News tool. From a back end control panel, Joel is able to post news articles as needed. This keeps fans current and helps build a sense of community.

Similar to the News tool is the Events tool. From the same back end control panel, Joel is free to add concert dates and personal appearances as often as needed. Once the event date has passed, the event deletes itself from the calendar

Keystone Foundation Repair

Since 1991, Keystone Foundation Repair has served Houston and the surrounding areas. The company's motto is "Quality At An Affordable Price". As a smaller company, Keystone faced enormous challenges going up against large national competitors with brand recognition and celebrity endorsements. The previous company website generated few to zero leads.

To change the course for the company, Destiny Now embarked on creating a brand and raising the brand's profile. The challenge of competing against celebrity endorsements was met by placing images of Keystone's owner Greg Vornkahl prominently throughout the website and as the featured talent in an informative video explaining the process of foundation repair. This was the first challenge which was met head on. The next challenge was to get the office phone ringing.

Search Engine Optimization was implemented in order to generate new leads. This started with the website layout itself. Cascading Style Sheets were used to build a stable, search engine friendly website which was easily and quickly indexed. Over the course of the next few weeks, Keystone Foundation Repair began rising to the top of related search results. Today, the company has experienced growth in sales and overall revenue as a result of being found at the top of most major search engines, including Google.

Ricky Lee - Award Winning  Recording Artist

Ricky Lee is an Award Winning Christian Country Recording Artist from South Louisiana. In 2007, he released the single "Power In Prayer" which received national attention. The song was placed into heavy rotation in Christian Country and Southern Gospel radio stations across America and helped establish Ricky as a serious national recording artist. In 2008, he received the Unity Radio Network Horizon Artist Award.


Ricky needed a website which helped the promotional efforts associated with his hit single. To accomplish this, the original version of the site included a Flash presentation which encouraged visitors to call their local radio station and request "Power In Prayer". The presentation also instructed DJ's and Music Directors where to go to get their copy of the single for radio airplay.

A demanding schedule of radio interviews and concert dates required that Ricky stay in touch with his fan base with news and updates. This was accomplished with the News and Events tools. Ricky has been able to post news articles about chart positions of his releases, concert dates, and even personal news items such as the birth of his daughter.
